You may or may not have heard of the band Underoath. www.underoath777.com They are one of those metal/screamo bands who love and serve Jesus, hence the 777. Well there Drummer who is also a vocalist, i know amazing, Aaron Gillespie, who is an amazing artist  has taken it to the next level. He has a side project called "The Almost" They are pretty much emo. The reason I am writing i guess is this. Gillespie is not afraid to share his love for our Lord and Savior in the song "Amazing Because It Is" where he writes some lyrics obviously about Jesus then in the middle of the song goes off with amazing grace how sweet the sound....I was almost knocked off my feet when i heard this. Not surprised he expresses his love for Jesus, but more that he adds so much to this already amazing song. Another amazing song saying "jesus! there is something about the name" This song is called "Dirty And Left Out

If you wonder to Underoath's Myspace page you will hear metal and screamo and  may be surprised to hear what come from The Almost. Still high tempo just without the screaming haha

This is what I expect from a band that calls Jesus Savior. You can only imagine the kind of impact they are having in the mainstream world. Underoath is a hard metal band. They have been featured on, for example, "Warped tour." Where it is dominantly non Christian bands. What an opportunity!! Aaron and his team have an amazing chance to minister to people no one else can even come close to. And I would ask you to pray for people like this. Pray that they will be strengthened as brothers in Christ. That God will use them in a mighty and powerful way. Anyway. Check out The Almost
